LOL! I wore this orange t-shirt into Home Depot once. ONCE. It had this big white dog head on it. I had all kinds of people asking me where stuff was.

In 20/20 hindsight...I should have sent them to the opposite ends of the store. [img]wink.gif[/img]

After a while, I had little sympathy for shoppers at Sam's Club.

"Do you work here?"
"What gave me away, the bright red vest that says, 'How Can I Help You?' on the back, or the blatant nametag with my picture on it?"

"Do you work here?"
"Well, I wouldn't call it work..."

"Do you work here?"
"No ma'am, I'm volunteering."

"Do you work here?"
"Nope."
"Are you sure?"
"Well, I guess I never really thought about it."

"Do you sell tv's?"
"No, but we do have television sets."

"Where are the tv's?"
"On a shelf." (For the love of Mike, they were the first thing you saw when you walked in the damn door!)

"Does this computer come with Windows?"
"No, but Home Depot is sure to have some."

"Can you get me this tv down from the shelf?"
"Wouldn't you much rather have the one in the unopened box directly below it?"

"What kind of film do I need for this camera?"
"Sir, it's digital..."

"Hi, I need something from that pallet way up there, the one touching the ceiling."
"Sure, we'll get a forklift and block off these two aisles, spend twenty minutes getting it down, and piss off everyone else just so you don't have to bend down and pick one up from this pallet, right here on the floor."

"We're buying this 60" projection screen tv, do you think it will lay down and slide into the back of our late '70's Toyota mini truck with cap?"
Would you believe we got that son of a bitch in there?

Oddly enough, they wrote me up for being late on several occasions, but never for being a smartass.

My solution: Avoid customers.

Honestly though, I haven't really encountered anybody yet this year who's pissed me off. There's usually at least one a day.

EDIT - By "this year", I'm referring to "this season", as I only work at Christmas time.
